NRIs hold Chai Pe Charcha in Chicago

CHICAGO: Over a hundred NRIs gathered at Rana Reagan Community Center in Chicago March 17 for a Chai Pe Chracha program.

The Overseas Friends of BJP (OFBJP) chapter coordinator Rohit Joshi started the meeting with a prayer and one minute silence for Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar who passed away earlier that day.

Amar Upadhyay, National General Secretary talked about the importance of NRI4NAMO.org portal and appealed all NRIs to join in the campaign for the 2019 Indian general elections to extend support to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Prominent community leaders like Dr. Bharat Barai, Nirav Patel Rakesh Malhotra, Shrinivas Bodige, Nirmala Reddy. Anju Sharma, Medha Joshi, and Rajbabu Chigurupati urged the NRI communty to join in campaign activities to make Modi victorious again. They also pitched for providing constructive guidance to the NRIs in Chicago as to how NRIs can be helpful to bring back Modi to power for another term.

Devusinh Chauhan, MP and former minister of Gujarat, joined Chai Pe Charcha program through Google Hangout. He described various projects initiated by Modi and advised NRIs to talk to their friends and family members in India to vote for BJP.
