Vaisakhi festival is the celebration of the ending of the harvest season in Punjab, and the beginning of a new growth cycle. It is a symbol of renewal. The event is normally held in the middle of April, but this year it is a little earlier due to difficulties with the availability of suitable auditoriums.
“Rangla Punjab” helps Punjabi youth come closer to the Punjabi language, culture, and community, and make friends. This indeed is a community-building effort.
“Rangla Punjab ” is the single largest annual Punjabi cultural event in the Chicago area that promotes local community talent and showcases Punjabi performing arts to a family audience since the mid-eighties.
