CHICAGO: Close to 300 community members and Consulate staff attended Pravasi Bhartiya Divas promotional event organized by Indian American Business Coalition (IABC), Friends of MP & other Indian diaspora organizations supported by Indian Consulate.
Some of them registered on the spot for PBD to be organized in Indore on 8-10 Jan 2023.
Consul General, in his remarks urged Indian diaspora to take this opportunity to visit India in the Amrit kaal to attend the PBD to discuss and participate in nation building. He appreciated the efforts of Indian American Business Coalition and other organizations who took the lead to urge for largest ever delegation from Chicago to PBD.
It may be mentioned that Pushyamitra Bhargav, Mayor of the City of Indore and KailashVijayvargiya, former Mayor and prominent political leader from Indore addressed the gathering online from Indore inviting Indian diaspora to Indore.
Anand Tiwary from Friends of Madhya Pradesh made a PowerPoint presentation about registration and other aspects of PBD.
Leading community members who spoke at the event included Dr. Bharat Barai, IABC; Event Chair Ajeet Singh, Event co-chair Vinesh Virani; Dr. Sreenivas Reddy, Chair of Illinois Medical Board; leading cardiologist Dr. Vemuri S Murthy; Amarbir Ghoman from Hotel Marriott; and Keerthi Ravoori.
