Rittu Kumar honored by Mayor of Beverly Hills

BEVERLY HILLS, CA: On the occasion of Diwali Attorney Rittu Kumar was honored by the Mayor of Beverly Hills Julian A Gold, M.D. and CEO of Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce Ted Johnson for her outstanding contribution to legal profession and City of Beverly Hills; and for furtherance of Diwali’s significance of “Good” over “Evil.”

Ms. Kumar, a former Partner at a Downtown Los Angeles law firm, is a skilled lawyer with 16 years of experience. She practices extensively in both state and federal court in the areas of contract disputes, employment law and negotiations.  She has successfully tried cases in both federal and state court and has obtained numerous verdicts, judgments by way motion practice, dismissals, and settlements on behalf of her clients.  Ms. Kumar recently has devoted part of her practice to the estate planning needs of her clients including trusts and wills.  She is mindful of her clients’ needs and strives to meet and exceed her clients’ expectations.

Ms. Kumar received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management and Organization from the University of Southern California in 1999 where she earned the prestigious distinction of Trustee Scholar and was a member of Alpha Lambda Delta, a certified national honor society that recognizes academic excellence in the first year at a college or university.  While at the University of Southern California, Ms. Kumar co-founded the Business Scholar Society where she served as Vice-President.

Ms. Kumar received her law degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles in 2002.  While at Loyola Law School, Ms. Kumar served as the Senior Note and Comment Editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles International and Comparative Law Review and was actively involved with the American Bar Association, Law Student Division as a representative for Loyola Law School on a national level.

Ms. Kumar is a member of the State Bar of California, United States District Court for the Central District of California and the United States District Court for the Southern District of California. Ms. Kumar has been featured as a Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2009, 2010, and 2011.
