Senior Pariwar celebrates 9th anniversary

UNITED LAMP webnCHICAGO: Members of United Senior Pariwar, Chicago (USPC) celebrated its ninth Annual Dinner and Musical Evening Sunday April 2 at Hanuman Temple in Glenview in the presence of 400 plus members and guests.

Secretary Ramesh Chokshi welcomed all seniors and guests. He also welcomed Chhotalal Patel who joined the Board of Trustees as new trustee. He said that with the Pariwar entering its 10th year of existence, the management has decided to celebrate the transition through the year with more programs and activities.

This was followed by Deep Pragtya by Mafatbhai Patel and others. The Deep pragtyavidhi was performed by Priest Acharya Shree Rohitbhai Josh. Shree Ramanbhai Patel gave history of United Senior Pariwar and indicated how it could grow more and more.

Mafatbhai Patel ( Chairman) offered good wishes to all members and promised to support the organization.

Dr Bharat Barai, a foremost community activist, was overwhelmed by the honor bestowed on him and said that Barais may come and go but organizations like USPC are there to stay and do good community work for generations. He mentioned that that this award was not given to him but to all hard working Indians and volunteers of Chicago and States of Indiana and hence, he would present it to all Indians of Chicago and Indiana State.

He also promised that he would seek a visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Chicago and “we would make big celebrations befitting his stature”.

Mrs. Kantaben Patel greeted Dr. Pannaben Barai by giving her flowers.

Executive committee members greeted all main guests and leaders of Chicago by offering them flowers.

Chhotabhai Patel talked about family values and bonding between new and old generations
In the beginning, welcome song was sung by Jitendra Bulsara. Ganeshsmruti Dance was done by girls from Kala Padma Academy. This was followed by a dance for Mara Ghat Ma Birajta Shreenathaji by young girls of Academy.

Every one present enjoyed the musical evening by Hitesh Master, Atulbhai Soni & Group. Every one also enjoyed delicious dinner catered by Uru Swati Restaurant of Devon Chicago. Vote of thanks was proposed by Hasmukhbhai Soni.
