CHICAGO: Bhartiya Senior Citizens (BSC) of Chicago held a combined celebration on April 20 at Shri Nathji Temple on Fullerton Ave in Addison suburb of IL to mark Ram Navmi and Hanuman Jayanti.
More then 275 seniors attended the event that started with welcome address by BSC Secretary Purshottam Pandya. BSC President Haribhai Patel welcomed Tracy Runte, Principal of Harbor Advantage. Wisconsin Chair of BSC Batukbhai Shukla introduced Tracy Runte.
Rajendra Anjaria talked about Ram Navmi and its importance while Gopal Patel touched upon the significance of Hanuman Jayanti.
Bhajans on Ram-Janma were sung by BSC member Rameshbhai Patel. Bhartiben Shukla transliterated in Gujarati a speech by Yoga Guru Pujya Ravishankar given last month
Tracy Runte of Harbor Advantage then gave video presentation on why we need will, funeral Insurance. Praful Rami, an activist in the insurance field, was part of this Insurance presentation. He also distributed flyers to BSC members. Willow Pharmacy & Home Life Health Care owner Prashantbhai Patel and his team checked blood sugar, blood pressure on premises for senior members. All BSC members congratulated new elected Trustee of Schaumburg township, Nimesh Jani.
BSC President Haribhai Patel distributed New ID cards and thanked committee member and photographer Jyanti Ojha for having worked hard to prepare ID cards for BSC members. Event President Madhubhai Patel offered good wishes to seniors. Those born in April were presented flowers. The event ended with dinner.
