Seniors Milan at Indo American Center

CHICAGO: Indo-American Center recently organized the “Milan” program for seniors successfully. The idea was to bring seniors together and help them fully adjust to their new community in Chicago and lead more independent lives.

“Milan,” which translates as “coming together,” is now in its 28th year and welcomes all seniors, 60 and above, and their spouses, to participate in daily enrichment activities – movies, games, open mic, yoga, and exercise – while having access to health education, computers, a library, and benefits assistance. Financial literacy, field trips and educational, cultural, and health workshops are offered on a regular basis throughout the year.

Indo-American Center has also been a Golden Diners site for the City of Chicago for nearly a decade, having served 116,928 freshly prepared meals to date! The meals are prepared by an experienced staff using locally sourced ingredients, and are nutritionist – as well as seniors –
approved. For more information or to have a taste yourself, stop by from Mon-Fri from 11:30 am – 2:00 pm at 6328 N. California Ave. in Chicago.
