Shree Umiya Dham Chicago Midwest Team Unveils Umiya Mataji Jyoti Rath

CHICAGO: Shree Umiya Dham Chicago Midwest (SUDCM) team unveiled the details of Shree Umiya Mataji Jyoti Rath arrival and proposed Umiya Mataji Temple here on Monday – June 29, 2015 at Ashyana Banquets, in Downers Grove, a southwest suburb of Chicaog.

This Jyoti Rath event included video highlights of Jyoti Rath Vidai Ceremony at Unjha, details of Shree Umiya Dham Project goals, mission and the current status, Mataji Rath activities, membership categories, financial commitments, open forum for questions, delicious food, and meeting the invited dignitaries.

The event started the video highlights of Jyoti Rath Vidai Ceremony at Unjha, India. Narendra Patel introduced Devendra Patel who welcomed the guests and thanked them for their support.

A former speaker of Gujarat, Dr. Mafatlal Patel, was the special guest. In his address, Dr Pael pitched for unity among all Patidars in the United States, congratulated SUDCM team for their efforts in bringing this event and establishing Shree Umiya Mataji temple in Chicagoland. His speech also touched upon the history of Kadva Patidars and the audience chanted ‘Shree Umiya Mata Ki Jai!!’ giving a spiritual color to the entire processiding.

Narendra Patel took the opportunity to introduce current working committee members comprising of – AP Patel, Ashvin Patel, Brijesh Patel, Chhotalal Patel, Dashrath Patel, Devendra Patel, Dharmisth Patel, Dilip Patel, Dipak Desai, Dipal Patel, Dr. Hemant Patel, Jayanti Patel, Jatin Patel, Jitu Patel, Lalbhai Patel, Manoj Patel, Narendra Patel, Pankaj Patel, Revabhai Patel, Shailesh Patel, and Vijay Patel.

Narendra Patel then introduced prominent community activist Chhotalal Patel as a person who believes strongly in the importance of the social, religious and moral values and instilling the same in the youth. He also pitched for giving back to the community and spreading good karma.

Chhotalal Paatel in his response thanked everyone who helped in organizing this memorable event as this project was very close to his heart. He feels privileged and honored to be part of the SUDCM project.

He briefed about the mission of the Shree Umiya Dham. He also stressed that the upcoming Shree Umiya Dham project will start with Umiya Mataji Mandir, large community hall, and expands down the road to build a sports activities facility, retirement home, as well as a funeral home, all of which should serve the needs of communities for decades to come.

Jayanti Patel talked about the Jyoti Rath Vidai Celebration that took place on May 20th, 2015 in Unjha, India. The Jyoti Rath program was celebrated with fireworks, musical band, and mataji garba in presence of all committee members of Shree Umiya Mata Sanstha.

Jyoti Rath will arrive in the few weeks and will be kept temporarily in Carol Stream at 457 St. Paul Boulevard until a permanent home is found. Narendra Patel provided details of the Jyoti Rath Swagat Ceremony that will take place in the Odeum Sports & Expo Center of Villa Park.

Tentative date was announced on or about August 29 and 30 of this year. Over 5,000 or more are expected to attend the event. Vijay and Ashvin Patel provided details of the Jyoti Rath arrival and Rath Padharamni process.

They announced August 29th as SUDCM garba and Uchamani(auction) Night and invited all guests to be present and participate in the event.

This event was attended by community leaders such as Mafatbhai Patel, Jayantibhai Patel, Mithabhai Patel, Dr.Hinaben Patel, Haribhai Patel, Dahyabhai Prajapati, Khodabhai Patel, Mansukh Patel, Dr. AJ Patel, Ambalal Patel, Shankar Patel, Gordhan Patel, Hasmukh (HK) Patel, Vinod Patel, Sittaram Patel, Harshad Desai, Sonal Patel, and number of businessmen and professionals.
In the end, Narendra Patel recognized DJ Arun Modi, Jain of Ashyana Banquets, and everyone else for their support.
