Successful Press Conference at US Capitol Hill marks the Founding of the Hindu, Buddhist, Sikh, and Jain American Congressional Caucus (HBSJ)

WASHINGTON, D.C. — On Friday, September 29th, 2023, an extraordinary press conference was held at the United States Capitol Hill, heralding the birth of the Hindu, Buddhist, Sikh, and Jain American Congressional Caucus (HBSJ). The conference was graced by the Founder and Chairman of HBSJ, the Honorable Congressman Dr. Shri Thanedar, who addressed the media and shared exciting developments for the Caucus.

The highlight of the event was the announcement of the incredible support garnered by the HBSJ Caucus, with the recent addition of 27 Congressional Representatives. This remarkable achievement within such a short span has ignited a wave of momentum for the Caucus and its mission.

In the near future, the Caucus will actively work towards introducing a Resolution to Combat Hinduphobia. This resolution will address critical issues such as hate speech, caste-based discrimination, vandalism of temples and signs, and physical violence against the Hindu, Buddhist, Sikh, and Jain communities.

Furthermore, the HBSJ Caucus is committed to hosting periodic Summits to deliberate upon the concerns and interests of these communities, fostering dialogue and collaboration. Their proactive agenda also includes initiatives related to education, immigration, and community safety.

Americans4Hindus.org, a pivotal organization dedicated to supporting these communities and instrumental in establishing HBSJ Caucus, was also recognized during the conference. They have a Federal Super PAC and PACs in various states, which endorse and fund Hindu and Pro-Hindu candidates at multiple levels, from School Boards to the President of the United States. Their dedicated volunteers work tirelessly at the grassroots level during campaigns, and they actively engage with political leaders and diverse communities to promote Hindu values and ideals.
