Thrillophilia vs MakeMyTrip vs Veena World: Which Is Better for a Thailand Trip?

Thailand

Thailand seemed like one of those trips I could plan in a weekend. A few days in Bangkok, some beach time in Phuket, maybe a boat trip to the Phi Phi Islands, and I would be sorted. But once I started comparing tour packages, I realised that the difficult part wasn’t deciding where to go. It was figuring out which places I could cover comfortably, what was included in the price, and whether I wanted a fixed group itinerary or more freedom to plan my days.

I started comparing Thailand packages from Thrillophilia, MakeMyTrip, and Veena World. All three offered options worth exploring, but their itineraries and travel styles differed. MakeMyTrip had city and beach packages with detailed inclusions, Veena World offered structured group tours, and Thrillophilia had several combinations of Thailand’s popular destinations.

Here’s what I found while researching their offerings and what I would consider before booking.

1. Understanding What Each Company Offers for Thailand

The first thing I noticed was how differently the three companies approached a Thailand holiday.

MakeMyTrip’s Thailand collection included 61 packages when I checked its listings. The options ranged from shorter Bangkok and Pattaya trips to beach-focused holidays in Phuket and Krabi. I also found packages categorised as Indian group tours, guided tours, and premium holidays. This made it easier to narrow down the options based on the kind of trip I had in mind.

Veena World had a more group-tour-oriented selection, with options such as Best of Thailand, Honeymoon Special Thailand, Women’s Special Thailand, and Seniors’ Special Thailand. Its eight-day Bangkok Pattaya Phuket Krabi tour was particularly interesting for someone wanting to cover several destinations in one holiday. I also liked that the collection included trips designed for specific traveller groups rather than treating every holiday as the same experience.

Thrillophilia’s Thailand collection included more than 100 listed packages, covering different durations, budgets, and travel styles. Options such as Best of Thailand | Cityscapes & Coastal Getaways combine Pattaya, Bangkok, and Phuket over seven days, while Bangkok Phuket Krabi | FREE 4 Island Tour In Krabi extends to eight days.

I wouldn’t decide based on the number of packages alone. What mattered to me was whether the itinerary matched my interests and whether the time allocated to each destination made sense.

2. Comparing the Itineraries: Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket or Krabi?

I soon realised that a Thailand itinerary could look very different depending on the company and package I chose.

If I wanted a quick holiday with shopping, sightseeing, and some beach time, Bangkok and Pattaya would be a reasonable starting point. If island excursions and coastal scenery were higher on my list, I would look at Phuket and Krabi instead.

Here’s how the available options compared.

MakeMyTrip

Its Breathtaking Pattaya & Bangkok package was listed as a five-day, four-night holiday, with two nights in each city, four-star hotels, airport transfers, two activities, and selected meals. The listed experiences included Coral Island and the Alcazar Show.

For a beach-focused trip, Spectacular Krabi & Phuket Getaway offered five nights, split between two nights in Krabi and three in Phuket. The listing included airport transfers, four activities, selected meals, and experiences such as the Phi Phi Island Tour.

Veena World

Its Bangkok Pattaya Phuket Krabi group tour covered four cities over eight days. That made it worth considering if I wanted to visit both the main urban destinations and the southern beach regions without planning every connection myself.

The company also listed a Phuket Krabi group tour featuring Ao Nang Beach, a Four Island Tour, Phra Nang Cave, and islands such as Tup, Chicken, and Poda. I liked that this option focused on the coastal experience instead of trying to fit too many cities into a short trip.

Thrillophilia

Its Must-Do Thailand Family Tour | Islands & City Experiences covered Phuket, Krabi, and Bangkok over seven days and six nights. Another option, Bangkok Phuket Krabi | FREE 4 Island Tour In Krabi, was listed for eight days and seven nights.

What stood out to me was the range of route combinations. I could explore a shorter city-and-beach holiday or look at an itinerary that gave the islands more attention.

My takeaway was that MakeMyTrip made it easy to compare clearly defined packages, Veena World was worth considering for its organised group tours, and Thrillophilia offered several routes to explore depending on how I wanted to divide my time.

3. What Would I Actually Pay for a Thailand Holiday?

Price was one of the first things I checked, but I quickly realised that comparing starting prices without looking at inclusions could be misleading.

For example, MakeMyTrip’s Spectacular Krabi & Phuket Getaway displayed a price of approximately INR 29,893 per person in the listing I checked. It included three-star hotels, airport pickup and drop, four activities, and selected meals. Its Breathtaking Pattaya & Bangkok package was listed at approximately INR 32,214 per person, with four-star hotels, transfers, two activities, and selected meals.

Thrillophilia’s Best of Thailand | Cityscapes & Coastal Getaways was listed at approximately INR 28,990 per adult for seven days and six nights. Its Must-Do Thailand Family Tour was listed at approximately INR 34,625 per adult for the same duration.

Veena World’s pricing depends on the tour and departure city. Its Mumbai listings, for example, showed Best of Thailand at around INR 89,000 per person for six days. That figure should not be compared directly with the other packages without checking the applicable departure, airfare, inclusions, and booking conditions.

These listings gave me a useful starting point, but I wouldn’t treat the lowest displayed price as the cheapest overall holiday.

Before booking, I would confirm:

  • Whether international return flights are included.
  • The hotel category and room arrangements.
  • Airport transfers and intercity transport.
  • Island excursions and attraction tickets.
  • Breakfast and other included meals.
  • Visa-related expenses, insurance, and optional activities.

I’d also check whether the quoted amount changes with travel dates, room occupancy, or seasonal demand.

For my own trip, I’d request a final quote from each company for a similar itinerary. Thrillophilia’s listed options looked worth exploring from a starting-price perspective, while MakeMyTrip’s detailed package listings made the inclusions easier to assess. Veena World would remain on my shortlist if I preferred one of its structured group tours.

Prices above are indicative figures from published listings checked in October 2026. They may change, and the packages are not like-for-like comparisons.

4. Island Hopping and Activities: What Is Included?

This was where I wanted to look beyond the destination names. A package mentioning Phuket or Krabi doesn’t automatically mean that a Phi Phi Islands excursion, a Four Island Tour, or a particular boat trip is included.

MakeMyTrip’s Krabi and Phuket listings highlighted specific experiences, including the Phi Phi Island Tour, a Seven Islands Sunset Tour, and intercity ferry transfers on selected packages. I found this useful because I could see which activities were part of the advertised holiday.

Veena World’s Phuket Krabi tour highlighted the Four Island Tour, Phra Nang Cave, Tup Island, Chicken Island, and Poda Island. For someone whose main priority is exploring Thailand’s coastline, those details are more useful than a general promise of beach sightseeing.

Thrillophilia also has packages built around island excursions. Its Bangkok Phuket Krabi itinerary specifically highlights a Four Island Tour in Krabi, while other listings feature Phi Phi Island excursions and other coastal activities.

I’d still check the finer details with all three companies. Boat trips can have different departure times, transport arrangements, and inclusions. Weather can also affect island excursions, so I’d ask what happens if a scheduled trip cannot operate.

I would compare not just the number of activities but also how much time they take up. If an island excursion occupies most of the day, I wouldn’t want another long transfer scheduled immediately afterwards.

5. Hotel Locations, Transfers, and the Pace of Travel

Thailand is relatively easy to explore, but changing hotels and travelling between destinations can still eat into a short holiday.

MakeMyTrip’s listings specify hotel categories on many packages. For instance, its Pattaya and Bangkok option mentioned four-star hotels, while its Krabi and Phuket getaway listed three-star hotels. That gave me a starting point for comparing accommodation standards.

Veena World’s group-tour format appealed to me if I wanted the major travel arrangements planned in advance. However, I would check the day-wise schedule to understand how much time was spent travelling between the four destinations and whether the itinerary included enough time at each stop.

Thrillophilia’s multi-destination packages offered another way to compare the route. I would ask for the proposed hotels, their locations, and the transport arrangements before confirming a booking.

For any package, these are the details I would check:

  • Are airport pickup and drop included?
  • How are transfers between cities arranged?
  • Are ferry transfers included for island excursions?
  • Are hotels close to convenient transport links?
  • How early do sightseeing days begin, and how much free time is available?

A package that covers more destinations isn’t necessarily better if the schedule leaves little time to enjoy them.

6. Which Company Suits Different Types of Travellers?

I also considered who each package might suit best. A couple looking for a relaxed beach holiday would have different priorities from a family visiting Bangkok’s attractions or a solo traveller hoping to meet other people.

For couples: MakeMyTrip’s Phuket and Krabi packages included options with multiple island excursions, while Thrillophilia offered couple-focused itineraries across destinations such as Phuket, Krabi, and Bangkok. Veena World’s Honeymoon Special Thailand was worth exploring if I wanted a more structured holiday.

For families: MakeMyTrip’s Bangkok and Pattaya options included activities such as Coral Island and the Alcazar Show. Thrillophilia’s Must-Do Thailand Family Tour combined Phuket, Krabi, and Bangkok. Veena World’s group tours were also worth considering if I preferred having the route and main arrangements planned in advance.

For solo travellers or women travelling together: Veena World’s dedicated Women’s Special Thailand tour stood out as a specific option rather than a general holiday marketed to everyone. Thrillophilia’s different group and destination-based packages could also be worth investigating, depending on the departure and group format. I’d confirm whether a tour was a fixed group departure or a private arrangement before booking.

I wouldn’t assume that one company is automatically better for a particular traveller type. The actual itinerary, group format, accommodation, and support arrangements matter more than the category name.

7. Booking Support, Customisation, and Visa Assistance

The last thing I wanted was to book a holiday without understanding what help would be available if something changed.

MakeMyTrip lets travellers browse packages and compare their listed inclusions. I’d check whether the selected package allowed changes and review the cancellation terms before paying.

Veena World’s group tours appealed to me because the main itinerary is planned in advance. That can reduce the work involved in coordinating hotels, transport, and sightseeing independently. I’d still confirm the tour’s joining arrangements, what assistance was available during the trip, and whether I could join from a different city if needed.

Thrillophilia’s collection allows travellers to explore different itinerary combinations and enquire about arrangements before booking. This was useful if I wanted to discuss the balance between city sightseeing and beach time, or understand whether a particular activity could be added.

For all three, I’d verify the following before making a payment:

  • What visa assistance is available, and whether any fees are included.
  • Whether the quoted price includes all mandatory charges.
  • The cancellation and refund policy.
  • How to contact the company during the trip.
  • What happens if an activity or transfer is cancelled.

Visa assistance does not guarantee approval, and the applicable booking terms determine what happens if plans change.

So, Which One Would I Choose for Thailand?

After comparing their packages, I wouldn’t say that one company is the best choice for every Thailand holiday. Each offered something worth considering.

I’d choose MakeMyTrip if I wanted to compare listed packages and inclusions in detail. Its city and beach itineraries gave me a useful starting point, particularly if I wanted to choose between Bangkok and Pattaya or a Phuket and Krabi holiday.

I’d consider Veena World if I preferred a structured group tour. Its dedicated women’s, seniors’, and honeymoon options, along with its eight-day Bangkok Pattaya Phuket Krabi itinerary, gave me several formats to investigate.

I’d lean towards Thrillophilia if I wanted to explore different itinerary combinations and discuss how the trip could fit my preferences. Its selection of shorter and longer Thailand packages made it easier to compare city-focused holidays with itineraries that gave more attention to the islands.

For my own trip, I’d be inclined towards Thrillophilia if I could find an itinerary that balanced the destinations I wanted to visit with enough time to enjoy each one. I would still compare the final quotation, hotel arrangements, activity inclusions, and support details before booking.

Ultimately, the best Thailand package isn’t necessarily the one with the most destinations or the lowest advertised price. It’s the one that fits the way I want to travel, makes the inclusions clear, and leaves me enough time to enjoy the holiday rather than spend it rushing from one transfer to the next.
