CHICAGO: The Vedic Day Care Center, a pre-school and kindergarten in Chicago, celebrated its 18th annual graduation program on Sunday, August 26 at the Vedic Day Care Center with lot of enthusiasm and joy.
Over 150 people attended the near three hours program that highlighted performances by Vedic Day Care Center children. The start was with recitation of some slokas from the Bhagavad Gita. This was followed by reenacting of past times of Lord Krishna as a child and performance of folk dances. The chief guests were Naveen Mehta, Bharat Desai and Chetan Patel.
Members of the audience enjoyed the children’s extraordinary performance. The chief guests gave meaningful speeches touching upon the theme of how the Center in Chicago has been rendering a yeoman’s service to the Indian American society thru teaching the children about Indian culture and traditions. They also emphasized that parents should take advantage of the education that is provided by the Vedic Day Care. Vrshabha Das, a founder president said that support of parents was necessary for the Day Care Center to stay afloat.
During the graduation ceremony, students received trophies and certificates, rewarding them for the outstanding achievements accomplished at the Vedic Day Care Center. The rewards were given by the chief guests. The grand finale was saying of prayers and distribution of prasadam, which was sponsored by Piyush Desai & Mrs. Tinaben.
Amongst many who financially support the Vedic Day Care are Dr. Agarwal, Dr. Modi, Naveen Mehta, Kalpesh Patel, and Chetan Patel family.
