In a bid to showcase the immense potential for business and investment opportunities in the vibrant state of Gujarat, the Government of Gujarat hosted the Vibrant Gujarat International Roadshow in the San Francisco, Bay area on November 4, 2023.

Led by JP Gupta, IAS, Additional Secretary Finance department, the delegation from Gujarat aimed to highlight the state’s economic prospects and the various avenues for investment and growth. The event was hosted by the Consulate General of India, San Francisco in association with ICC, FIA/FOG, Indiaspora, and other community organizations based in the Bay area. The event was attended by community leaders, entrepreneurs, angel investors, and tech leaders.

The event, a prelude to the upcoming 10th Edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit scheduled for January 10-12, 2024, served as a platform for industry representatives from both Gujarat and the UAE to engage, network, and explore collaborations. The event commenced with opening remarks from Rakesh Adlaka, Deputy Consul General of India, SFO. He welcomed the delegation and attendees.

During the roadshow, JP Gupta delivered an address encapsulating 20 years of the success of VGGS, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat@2047’ and Gujarat’s readiness for the same under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.

An audio-visual presentation illuminated the cultural richness, natural beauty, and investment potential of Gujarat. The visual journey provided the audience with a vivid understanding of the state’s unique offerings.

Vibrant GujaratDr Romesh Japra, Chairman, FOG welcomed the delegates and lauded the efforts of PM Narendra Modi on putting India on the Global stage. He said India’s story is dynamic and promising for the coming decade. US -India bilateral economic relationship has grown in the last decade, but there is still a lot of room for it to develop during the Amrit Kaal. FOG can facilitate in inviting California Governor Gavin Newson for the upcoming summit in Gujarat, said Dr Japra.
