COLORADO: In a significant display of community unity and civic engagement, the Americans4Hindus (A4H) Colorado Chapter, in collaboration with Sewa International, hosted a distinguished meet-and-greet event bringing together a broad spectrum of Indian and Indian-American community leaders from across the state.
The event was honored by the presence of the Consul General of India, Dr. Srikar Reddy, accompanied by his wife, Smt. Prathima Reddy. Consular Officer Mr. Nahas Ali, serving as Commercial Representative and Consul for Passport services, was also in attendance, underscoring the importance of the gathering from a diplomatic standpoint.
A distinguished panel of speakers featured Dr. Srikar Reddy; Mr. Sridhar Talanki, National Board Member of Sewa International; Dr. M. S. Reddy, a Nobel Peace Prize nominee and noted innovator; and Dr. Jayasimha Sunku of Pueblo. The panel highlighted the growing role of Indian Americans in civic life and the importance of continued collaboration between community organizations and diplomatic representatives.
The event drew participation from an extensive network of organizations, reflecting the diversity and vibrancy of the Indian diaspora in Colorado. Representatives from groups including HSS, Sewa International, VHP, Hindu Temple of Colorado, SV Temple of Colorado, Sai Baba Temple, Colorado Sikh Gurdwara, FOICO (Friends of India), Americans4Hindus, Nirankari Samaj, Indian Association of Rockies, and numerous cultural, regional, and professional associations were present. Entrepreneurs and community members from Fort Collins and Colorado Springs also participated, further broadening the event’s reach.
The program was hosted by leadership from the Americans4Hindus Colorado Chapter, including President Hemal Trivedi and Vice President Dave Bhattacharya, alongside key representatives from Sewa International Colorado Chapter. Their coordinated efforts ensured a well-organized platform for dialogue and engagement.
The evening featured interactive discussions between community leaders and representatives from the Indian Consulate, followed by a question-and-answer session that enabled an open exchange of ideas. The program concluded with a dinner reception, providing attendees an opportunity to strengthen relationships and explore avenues for future collaboration.
Widely appreciated by participants, the event served as a meaningful step toward fostering stronger community ties, enhancing civic engagement, and reinforcing shared commitments to service, cultural preservation, and collaborative leadership within the Indian-American community.
