Held at the Potomac residence of community leader Dr. Suresh C. Gupta, the event brought together nearly 50 distinguished community leaders, supporters, and civic advocates from across Montgomery County. The reception exceeded fundraising expectations and demonstrated the growing political engagement and organizational strength of the Hindu American community in Maryland.

The event also featured a special appearance by Congresswoman Sarah Elfreth, who joined attendees in recognizing the importance of civic engagement and community participation in strengthening democracy.

A4H Maryland Chapter Mobilizes for the June 23 Primary Election
With the Democratic Primary Election approaching on June 23, 2026, A4H is expanding its efforts beyond fundraising and community outreach to include an extensive grassroots voter engagement initiative.
Over the coming weeks, A4H volunteers will conduct targeted door-to-door outreach throughout Montgomery County, focusing on engaging Hindu American households, educating voters about key issues, and encouraging strong participation in the democratic process.
The initiative reflects A4H’s broader mission of strengthening civic awareness, increasing voter participation, and ensuring that Hindu Americans have an active voice in shaping the future of their communities.
