Arunay Foundation’s mission is to raise beach safety awareness. It is a non-profit organization born out of the desire to turn loss and tragedy into hope, education and solutions for ocean safety and beach awareness. The foundation was established by Arunay’s parents who, during a tragic accident, lost their 12-year old son to sneaker waves at Half Moon Bay. The Arunay Foundation is tirelessly working towards increasing beach safety awareness and educating people about hazardous beach conditions such as sneaker waves, rip currents, and high surf. They have equipped several Northern California beaches with life saving rings, which can be used in case of an emergency, such as Pillar Point Harbor at Half Moon Bay. They have taken every opportunity to tell their tragic story and do not want that story to ever repeat. Please join for the cause.
