SAN JOSE: Mumbai Samba featuring special guest Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu held May 3 at Hilton Doubletree, San Jose witnessed over 300 Bay area residents partying with the diva.
The event was organized by Bhavini Joshi and Amitabh Bhargava of “Instant Karma”. It is Bay area’s Premier Entertainment and Marketing company that provides awesome entertainment and related marketing services. Instant Karma always strives to bring in Superstars and we don’t repeat too many artists, said Bhavini Joshi, CEO of the Instant Karma event company.
The evening commenced with a power-packed performance by kids from Bollynritya. Jyotsna Bendapudi of DanceDilse, a Bay Area dance company set the stage on fire with her performance for Bipasha hit number “Beedi Jalaile” from Omkara. She taught the dance moves to the group of audience thus invoking the party mood. This was followed by dance performance by Samba Mundial, Silicon Valley’s samba school. The team enthralled the crowd by their traditional Brazilian-inspired movements and percussive sounds.
By 11 pm, the hall was bursting with excitement as the emcee of the evening, Kishan from Desi1170 AM and Mahima creations, announced Bipasha’s arrival on stage. Hysteria roared throughout the arena when the hot bombshell and fitness freak of Bollywood Bipasha Basu arrived.
“Over the years, I have been privileged to have been a part of and performed at several award ceremony and this IIFA 2014 was special to me with the love of my American fans” said the Bengali bombshell, responding to the emcee’s questions. She did speak about her workout video which is out in the market and emphasizes regular fitness regime for healthy living.
Basu debuted in a negative role in Ajnabee, which earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Her first commercial success was Raaz in 2002 and from then there has been no looking back for this Superstar. Basu established herself as a successful actress with the success of No Entry, Corporate and Dhoom 2. She made her international film debut with the 2013 Australian film Singularity.
