BUENA PARK, CA: On Sunday, May 3, 2026, the Jain Center of Southern California and Anekant Community Center hosted a 34th Annual comprehensive Community Health Fair, providing hundreds of residents with access to essential medical screenings and professional consultations at no cost.
Held at the Jain Center, the event addressed critical community health needs through a wide array of free services. Over 175 Attendees had the opportunity to consult with primary care physicians, medical & surgical specialists and receive diagnostic tests that are often inaccessible due to cost or insurance barriers.
Highlights of the free services provided included:
- Comprehensive Screenings: Blood tests for glucose (170), cholesterol (155), HgbA1c (67), Hemoglobin (175), EKGs (55), and Bone Density Assessments (73).
- Specialized Care: Dental exams with treatments to 38 people, 147 people had vision screening with glasses provided to needy, and 8 women had PAP smears done.
- Expert Consultations: Direct access to medical & surgical specialists for personalized health advice.
The fair was made possible through the significant support of the Bhindi Foundation (Major Sponsor), Willow Laboratories, alongside the Sarva Mangal Family Trust, Tarsadia Foundation, and Aparigrah Foundation. The event was further supported by clinical partners Lestonnac Free Clinic and ABC Adult School.
Organizers expressed gratitude to the sponsors, the team of volunteer physicians, coordinators and volunteers, whose efforts were instrumental in the day’s success.
This health fair is part of an ongoing initiative by the Anekant Community Center to provide accessible healthcare resources to the Southern California community.
