FREMONT, CA: The 34th Festival of Globe FOG India Day Parade and Fair will be held on August 15–16, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at 39439 Paseo Padre Parkway, Fremont.
This year’s celebration marks the 250th anniversary of the United States and 80th India Independence Day, honoring both cultural roots and the American Dream. Organized by FOG and FIA of Northern California, the event has been a Fremont tradition for over 30 years.
Grand Parade
The free FOG India Day Grand Parade will take place on Sunday, August 16, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Walnut Avenue and Paseo Padre Parkway.
Featuring 100+ entries, the parade brings together Indian and Bay Area communities, along with nearly 15 multicultural groups. Bollywood stars Sanya Malhotra and Abhimanyu Dassani will serve as Grand Marshals.
Fair Highlights
The two-day event is expected to draw thousands and will include cultural performances, a Health & Wellness Fair, Food Fest, kids’ activities, and 100+ booths.
Over 250 dance groups will compete in Classical, Folk, Bollywood, Contemporary, and Hip-Hop categories across age groups 5–11, 12–18, and adults.
Food & Culture
Visitors can enjoy North and South Indian cuisine from seven food trucks, along with shopping and cultural exhibits from more than 100 vendors.
Community Celebration
FOG India Day celebrates freedom, democracy, and unity across cultures in both India and the United States.
Dr. Romesh Japra, Founder and Chairman of FOG, said the event continues to unite communities and support the Indian American journey toward the American Dream.
Dressed in the colors of the Indian tricolor, the team comes together to celebrate the message of Unity in Diversity, Pride in Our Heritage, and Love for Our Motherland.
Adding artistic energy to the celebration, Archana Vashney, Artistic Director & Choreographer, is leading the creative and cultural presentations.
