Recognizes major donors and volunteer teams on celebrating 21-years
YORBA LINDA, CA: The Anekant Community Center (ACC) hosted a landmark celebration, “An Evening of Gratitude, Appreciation and Honor,” on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at the Yorba Linda Community Center.
The special evening brought together more than 275 distinguished guests—including prominent community leaders, major philanthropic donors, humanitarian partners, and dedicated volunteer teams—to celebrate the profound global and local impact of ACC’s 21 years of selfless service. Among the honored attendees were Ms. Priyanka Tyagi, Vice-Consul of the Consulate General of India in Los Angeles, and Mr. Rameshor Bhandari, Commissioner for the City of Artesia.
The pinnacle of the evening was the presentation of the Global Humanitarian Award to Dr. Nitin Shah, a visionary leader in humanitarian service and co-founder & founding president of both the Anekant Community Center (2005) and the Aparigrah Foundation (2021).
Dr. Shah was recognized for his monumental life’s work and extraordinary dedication to serving humanity. He has personally led more than 1,200 humanitarian missions across 34 countries. He has traveled to 23 of them to perform the missions. These vital missions, ranging from single-day clinics to intensive two-week deployments, have delivered critical medical intervention, surgical care, and healthcare education to hundreds of thousands of underserved individuals globally, forever altering the landscape of international public health.
The Anekant Community Center Board of Directors presented special honors to its foundational major donors, partner organizations, and dedicated volunteer groups. These contributors were collectively recognized for supporting: Free Community Health Fairs, Health Seminars, Natural Disaster Reliefs, Hot Meals program for Homeless Center and Education.

The celebratory evening concluded with a renewed commitment from the board and attendees to continue expanding the center’s humanitarian footprint across Southern California and the world.
