CHICAGO: The Punjabi Cultural Society (PCS) of Chicago organized a family dinner banquet and Punjabi musical concert November 9 at Atlantis Banquets, in Arlington Heights, a suburb of Chicago with close to 400 guests in attendance.
The night featured the 2011 “Voice of Punjab” champion Jaspinder Raina paired with famous singer Rajn Sandhu. The show was compered by actor and entertainer Jagtar Jaggi of “Jalwe Jaggi De” of Punjabi TV fame.

Both Jaspinder Raina and Rajn Sandhu sang their popular songs and also from their newly released albums. Jagtar Jaggi entertained the audience with his jokes and comic presentation.
Guest of honor, Indian Consul Ranjit Singh, presented awards to the guest artists. Chief guest Boparai and the guest of honor Ranjit Singh were honored by the PCS members.
The silver sponsors of the program were awarded with plaques of honor by ConsulRanjit Singh and the Gold Sponsors were honored with plaques by the Chief guest Beant Singh Boparai.

The program opened with a welcome address by PCS vice president Vick Singh. PCS president Harwinder Paul Singh Lail introduced the artists and named the award-winning sponsors. PCS chairman Gurdeep Singh Nandra spoke very highly of the PCS team and the community service they are doing to connect the youth with Punjabi culture.
Upcoming PCS events are Thanksgiving Day Parade on State Street Chicago November 28, and the Vaisakhi event “Rangla Punjab 2020” at Hemmens Cultural Center Auditorium in Elgin, Illinois, April 11, 2020,
