MILPITAS, CA: Unique Production presented the mesmerizing musical concert “Sitaron Ki Mehfil ” in association with Sanatan Mandir San Bruno on Nov 20 at ICC Milpitas California in aid of handicapped University (Chitrakoot). It was a sold out event.
The cream of Bay area society gathered to listen and watch gorgeous Melody Queen Bollywood singer Alka Bhatnagar of Bay area who was awarded by Raj Kapoor himself and blessed by Music Legends R.D.Burman, Kalyan Ji Anand and Ravindra Jain.
Alka has succeeded in mingling the finest nuances of classical music with an element of modernity by her imaginative improvisation.
Her control over voice, mastery over modulation, superb intonation and “stress” were par excellence. Alka Bhatnagar is founder Guru of “Sur Bahar” music school.
The program was full of melodies old and new, Bollywood songs, ghazals and latest songs fulfilling every one’s taste. Top musicians from New York, Denver and Bay areas accompanied the singers. Bay area’s popular singers Raj Sohol, Sachin Srivastava, Lahar Dalal, Varun Tiwari rocked the stage and brought Bollywood alive. New talents Aditi and Abhay entertained the audience with their melodious songs.
The musical program started with golden era songs. Alka Bhatnagar started with haunting melodies like Aaiye Meherbaan, Piya To Se Naina Lage Re, Babu ji Dheere Chalna etc.
Alka also paid tribute to legendary singers K.L. Sehgal, Mukesh, Talat Mehmood and Rafi Saheb. She
performed latest hits like Mein Tenu Samjhava Ki, Teri Galiyan, songs ghazals like Hoton se chhoolo tum and Aaj Jane ki zid na karo. Raj Sohol, golden voice of Rafi and Sonu Nigam mesmerized the audience with songs Tum Jo Mil gaye ho, Jeena Jeena and duets with Alka Isharon Isharon Mein & O Hasina. Sachin Srivastava, voice of Kishore, sang beautiful songs, Pal pal dil ke pass, and duets with Alka, Hawa ke sath sath and Inteha Hogai. Lahar Dalal won the hearts of audience with Suno Na Sange marmar and duets with Alka, Dheere dheere se. Varun Tiwari voice of Arijit rocked the stage Hum tere bin and Chahoon mein Ya Na and many more.
The unforgettable four-hour event was a full package of high quality entertainment with sumptuous dinner.
