The global non-profit organization Dr. Shri Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari Pratishthan (DSNDP), City of Dublin Government and the California Department of Transportation teamed up on Jun 8, 2024 for the ‘People of the Parks’ and ‘Adopt-A-Road’ event at Alameda and Contra Costa counties, California.
The event saw 7 volunteers gathered at Central Pkwy, Dublin, CA 94568 who persistently worked for
14 volunteer hours and spent the day collecting 2 bags of trash and for Livorna Rd, Alamo, CA 5 volunteers gathered who persistently worked for 10 volunteer hours and spent the day collecting 7 bags of trash. The day was part of the DSNDP’s nationwide Cleanliness Drive.
Earlier in California, the organization also carried out other cleanliness activities such as Adopt –a Romp, Adopt-a-Highway, Adopt-a-Beach etc. Across 10 cities involving a total of 248 volunteers who worked for around 499 volunteer hours, collected 337 bags of waste resulting in approx. 5055 pounds of trash.
