PHAGWARA: Bringing immense pride to her family and the city, Phagwara’s young prodigy Vriha Handa has achieved a remarkable milestone at the tender age of just 1 year and 10 months by securing her place in the India Book of Records (IBR). Her extraordinary cognitive abilities and remarkable memory skills have earned widespread admiration and appreciation.
Vriha’s mother, Shivani Handa, said her daughter accomplished this rare achievement by demonstrating exceptional recognition and learning skills across eight different categories. Despite her young age, Vriha’s ability to grasp and identify a wide range of objects and concepts has amazed her family and all who have witnessed her talent.
Her father, Puneet Handa of Handa Medical Hall, said he had recorded multiple videos showcasing Vriha’s talent and submitted them to the India Book of Records for evaluation. After reviewing her performances, the organisation officially recognised her abilities and awarded her a place in the record book.
Vriha’s achievements include identifying the English alphabet, recognising five modes of transport, identifying nine different shapes, naming various colours, identifying 15 body parts, and performing exceptionally well across a total of eight categories. In recognition of her outstanding abilities, the India Book of Records presented her with a certificate, a medal, and a gift pack to encourage her remarkable potential.
The achievement has become a proud moment not only for her parents but also for the extended Handa and Mehan families. Her grandparents Varinder Handa and Veena Handa, Anil Mehan and Poonam Mehan, along with her uncle Sumeet Handa, Mohit Mehan, and aunts Shikha Handa and Anjali Mehan, expressed their happiness and said they are confident that Vriha will continue to scale greater heights and bring laurels to the family in the years to come.
The Handa family said that Vriha’s achievement is a testament to the fact that talent and potential have no age limit. Messages of congratulations and best wishes have been pouring in from relatives, friends, and well-wishers, who have applauded the young achiever for her exceptional accomplishment at such an early age.
