Success of the picnic credit goes to dedication and hard work by members, volunteers and officers of Gujarati Samaj of St. Louis. Food was sponsored by Seema Indian store. Samaj will be holding next picnic & Blood Drive at the same place on August 18 at the same location.
Gujarati Samaj of St. Louis came into existence in 1984 with the efforts of some community leaders to preserve, protect and personify the eastern values, to make children participate in celebrating traditional festivals, and to provide platform to all Gujaratis to come together to meet, greet, entertain and celebrate the heritage.

It also arranges programs to commemorate important Gujarati festivals and events and invites dignitaries and artists from Gujarat and India to perform for the benefit of the members
