Milpitas, CA: Yoga Bharati, a prominent non-profit organization dedicated to holistic wellness, marked its 25th Anniversary Silver Jubilee with a grand Yoga Sangam 2026 celebration. Held at Milpitas Community Center in the San Francisco Bay Area, the milestone event honored a quarter-century of dedicated community service, education, and health advocacy through the practice of authentic yoga. Founded in 2001 under the guidance of Shri N.V. Raghuram, the organization has spent two and a half decades making ancient Vedic wisdom accessible to all sections of modern society. The celebratory evening featured a highly anticipated panel discussion titled “Beyond Survival: Yoga and the Future of Humanity,” showcasing insights from esteemed spiritual leaders and authors.
Highlight of the event was an enlightening panel discussion on topics ranging form spirituality, yoga and its alignment with modern lifestyle. Swami Chidananda Puri, Swami Nirbhayananda, Shri N.V. Raghuram and Dr. Prasad Kaipa answered the questions by Yoga teacher Sriram.
Following the panel, vibrant cultural programs brought the community together. Yoga Sangam included a beautiful traditional performance from the Vishwa Shanthi Dance Academy and an inspiring theatrical production by local youth focused on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda. Through its extensive teacher training programs, therapeutic classes, and ongoing community outreach, Yoga Bharati continues to impact thousands of lives across the Bay Area and beyond, reinforcing its timeless mission of fostering health, happiness, and peace.
Fremont Hindu Temple was one of the key sponsors of the event. Dr. Romesh Japra, Chairman Fremont Hindu Temple presented a proclamation and recognized Yoga Bharati and Anil Surur, President of Yoga Bharati for their untiring efforts in promoting Yoga.
