Rethinking God: The Scientific Lens on Existence and Eternal Energy

In today’s world, atheism—disbelief in the existence of God—resonates with a sizable population. Rooted in personal experiences and logical deliberation, this stance is not only valid but deserves respect. However, there’s an opportunity to delve deeper and explore an understanding of God that harmoniously merges ancient wisdom with modern scientific principles.

What Exactly Is God?

When people talk about God, what are they really referring to? Is God an eternal, all-pervading presence in every heart at every moment? Or a distant being in a remote corner of the universe? Consider this: God is not a person but an ever-present energy. This presence is everywhere, all the time. God is synonymous with existence itself, an eternal truth that has always been and always will be. This conception is deeply rooted in ancient wisdom. The Chandogya Upanishad, a time-honored text, proclaims सर्वंखल्विदंब्रह्म (Sarvaṃkhalvidaṃ brahma), signifying “all that exists is indeed God.”

The Undeniable Proof of Existence

Reflect for a moment: You do exist, don’t you? Your inevitable answer, “Yes,” confirms that your existence is undeniable and self-evident. So, here’s a twist: you can deny everything else, but not your existence. Claiming there’s no God while defining God as everything, including you, would be like saying you don’t exist. This is a logical inconsistency! Just as God exists within you, God’s is also everywhere in everything and everyone.

The Science Connection

Now, let’s look at this from a scientific perspective. Science, grounded in evidence and reason, doesn’t ask us to believe. The Law of Conservation of Energy, a core scientific principle, tells us that energy can’t be created or destroyed, only be transformed. “Energy” is another name for God. Albert Einstein’s renowned equation further illustrates that matter and energy are interchangeable. Everything around us, whether it’s light, heat, or sound, is a form of this energy, like ice is a form of water. Essentially, everything is a manifestation of God.

The Ultimate Experience

But simply knowing about God isn’t enough. The real proof is in experiencing the presence of God within yourself. In Samadhi, the culmination of Patanjali’s eight limbs, God is experienced directly. Once that realization occurs, you’ll begin to see God everywhere.

Imagine if everyone had this insight! If everyone acknowledged God in all and everywhere, hatred and hostility would diminish, making destructive weapons and nuclear bombs obsolete. The result? A world that knows true peace.
