MUMBAI: Actor Shilpa Shetty-Kundra and her industrialist husband Raj Kundra hosted a dinner for ex-cricketer Shane Warne and his girlfriend, actor Elizabeth Hurley at their Mumbai home on Saturday November 24 evening. Warne was the captain of Rajasthan Royals, the IPL team that the Kundras own, and is currently in India to do cricket commentary for the ongoing England-India test series.
Shilpa had organized the dinner to welcome the couple to Mumbai. She posted pictures with the couple and wrote, “Gr8 to c @warne888 nd @ElizabethHurley at r home, fun evenin at home with a few friends:) (sic).”
Warne and Liz too, enjoyed every bit of the star studded party. “Thank you to @TheShilpaShetty and @TheRajKundra for the most delicious dinner and enchanting cuddle with the Mini Kundra,” Hurley wrote on Twitter, referring to Shilpa’s 6-month old baby boy, Viaan. Warne, who sported a new hair style, tweeted, “Thanks for having me last night @TheRajKundra & @TheShilpaShetty Was great to catch up, see you soon… Ps Bubs liked uncle Shane too (sic).” To this Shilpa wrote, Was great to catch up, see you soon… Ps Bubs liked uncle Shane too (sic).” And added, “preferred aunt Elizabeth though 😉 ha ha ha (sic).”
Actor Suniel Shetty and wife Mana, industrialist Gautam Singhania with wife Nawaz and actor Chunkey Pandey with wife Bhavna were some of the invitees. “It was a very intimate get together. The couple had invited some close friends. They are very close to Shane even after he left IPL. Shilpa had personally overseen the arrangements. Shane and Liz were very happy to meet the couple’s little baby,” says a source.
