DALLAS: India Association of North Texas (IANT) and Indian American Friendship Council (IAFC) held a condolence meeting in the memory of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on August 18 at Richardson, TX. The board and trustee members of both the councils and officials of Indian Consulate Houston and community attended the condolence meeting.
Kamal Kaushal, President of IANT, Rakesh Banati, Vice Consul of IAFC, Prasad Thotakura, IANT Trustee Chair, Kuntesh Chokshi & IANT President Elect B.N. Rao along with all the attendees paid their respect by lighting candles, offering tilak and rose petals to the former Prime Minister’s picture and speaking about his life and legacy in contribution to India and the world. Abhijit Railkar, Vice President of IANT, emceed the event while B.N. Rao proposed a vote of thanks.
