Dr. Jayshree Vyas celebrates her favorite day, an international yoga day, June 21st! She celebrates this every year, since its inception in 2015, by our Prime minister, Mr. Modiji.
It was a good turnout of nearly, 90 people! And many joined via zoom! The event started with yogis rolling in with their yoga mats around 5 pm. The level of enthusiasm kept rising as more yogis gathered! Some yogis expressed their enthusiasm by bringing a dish to help the host, Dr. Jayshree Vyas out in her dinner preparations.
As planned, around 5.15 pm, the event opened with a patriotic number sung by dr. Mahesh Vyas. Pranayam and Yoga session followed, lead by Dr. Jayshree Vyas. It was initiated by a ‘warm up Zumba dance number, ‘Jay ho’. Yogis warmed up to the tune by dancing it away! Varied yoga asanas followed to cater to all levels of yogis.
The event was lead by Dr. Jayshree Vyas who has been teaching yoga and spirituality since 2009, to serve the community. Being a medical doctor, and yoga teacher, she saw a lot of science in yoga. That made her passionate about sharing her knowledge to the community especially to the younger generation. She hopes her mission will bring about an early awareness to everyone mainly to the youngsters who can rip the benefits early in their lives, and also pass it on to the future generations. She says ‘I wish I knew this earlier, I could have done things better”!
Her “Satsang’ lecture on ‘Science and yoga’ followed the asanas which captured the crowd and kept them well interested through out. Then followed were meditation and yog nidra! So many yogis meditating together under the beautiful sky, was a sight to see!
By then, all yogis had earned their delicious home made healthy dinner, which everyone enjoyed thoroughly.
She says that she feels really blessed to see the level of interest in this beautiful cause. She hopes it to grow, and grow!
