Devotees throng Hindu Temple in St Louis during Navratri and Vijayadashmi celebrations

ST LOUIS: Hindu Temple of St. Louis celebrated Navaratri for ten days beginning Monday Oct 15, culminating on Wednesday Oct 24 with Vijayadashmi.

All 10 days the Devi was blessing the devotees in 10 different forms. Durga Jagran was performed on Saturday Oct 20 until midnight. On Vijayadasmi Day, the Devi was blessing as Raja Rajeshwari. Samuhika Kumkum pooja was performed by hundreds of devotees.

The temple was open all day long and Sai Homam was celebrated in the morning. Thousands of devotees visited the temple on Vijayadashmi Day.

The Temple administration arranged the overflow parking in the nearby church and shuttle service was provided for the devotees. Mahaprasadam was served at the end of the pooja on Navaratri days. Arrangements are in progress for the upcoming big festival of Deepavali on November 13.
