ST LOUIS: The Indian Association of St. Louis organized a visa camp, in coordination with the Indian Consulate General of Chicago and visa agency Cox & Kings Global Services (CKGS USA) at the Mahatma Gandhi Center, St. Louis on August 9.
The services provided by CKGS included OCI, Visa, OCI in lieu of PIO and renunciation application acceptance. The consulate staff provided multiple services including attestation, power of attorney, marriage certificate and name change. CKGS sent all the accepted applications to the consulate office in Chicago for processing.
Before the event started, Dr Ausaf Sayeed, the Consulate General, delivered the keynote address. He detailed services provided by the consulate office, the jurisdiction of his office and the differences of various visas and the fee structure. He stressed the importance of having an organization like the India Association of St.
Louis which serves as the communicative arm for Indians with Indian officials and their offices for various services, including visas. The Consul General was available to answer queries along with his staff at the venue during the camp.
Over three hundred individuals took advantage of the visit of CKGS and Consulate officials to make it a grand successful event.

India Association of St. Louis also extends thanks to Mr. Nambiar, Mr. Jerry Fernando and other staff of CKGS for the applications processing services.
Volunteers from India Association of St. Louis provided complimentary refreshments, notary, copy and print services as well as Wi-Fi and computer services to fill out the forms for those who needed help with applications.
The current board members of IASTL who helped in organizing the visa camp included President- Sharath Rao, President Elect- Meera Jain, Secretary- Shailee Saran Varanasi, Treasurer- Vijaya Lakshmi Buddhiraju, Directors- Smita Parikh, Gayatri Chintakuntha, Vijaykumar Buddhiraju, Sendil Rathinasabapathy and Krishna Rao Moharir. Ashwin Patel provided the notary service.
The Visa camp was very valuable for many people in the community. India Association of St. Louis was applauded and appreciated for the initiative by the local Indian community.
