CHICAGO: Sikh Religious Society (SRS) Chicago, known as Palatine Gurdwara Sahib, has new management to run the affairs. Elections were held on April 1and the new management was sworn in on April 8.
Conscientious efforts were made not to hold elections like previous two times, but a few candidates insisted on having elections. So very peaceful elections were held.
Out of the elected members, board members chose unanimously Dr. S. Pardeep Singh Gill as President. He is also President of Indo-American Veterinarian Association for 2017-18.He is an alumni of Punjab Agriculture University of Ludhiana and did Masters in Veterinarian Surgery from Purdue University Indiana, USA.
The new office bearers are S. Irwinpreet Singh Executive Secretary; S. Prempal Singh Treasurer; S.Gurmeet Singh Bains Religious Secretary. Outgoing board members were given Plaques of Honor for their services. Board members are chosen for term of four years every two years.
