CHICAGO: The Indian Consulate in Chicago hosted a grand celebration of the 71 Indian Republic Day at its premises. The program was attended by representatives of elected officials here, city officials, friends of India, and over 200 members of the Indian community.
The event started with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Consul General Sudhakar Dalela, followed by the singing of National Anthem. The Consul General read out the address of the Indian President to the Nation on the eve of the Republic Day. The eye-catching dance performances and singing of patriotic songs were other highlights of the event. Consul General thanked the Mayor of the City of Chicago Lori E. Lightfoot for the greetings on the occasion of the Republic Day.
