CHICAGO: The Chicago South Asian Film Festival (CSAFF) now in its 9th year is scheduled to take place for four days beginning Thursday September 20 through Sunday 23.
The screenings will be held in three locations across the Chicagoland area – the Showplace ICON Theater in Downtown Chicago, Columbia College, and the AMC Theater in Oakbrook.
The festival organizers have a stellar lineup of films this year that would include several making their world and American premieres. The opening night films are The Music Teacher, Bird of Dusk, Once Again, Noblemen, and Doob.
Festival manager Jigar Shah said the mission at CSAFF is to further cultural communication in Chicago, with spotlight on South Asian culture. “This festival has provided a platform to young filmmakers and artists, representing the global South Asian Diaspora, to tell their stories and share their art,” he added.
