NEW YORK: The leaders of the American Association of Physicians of Indian origin (AAPI) joined the India Day Parade in New York City on Sunday August 17.
The applause from the crowd reached a crescendo as the colorfully decorated Float bearing AAPI’s name, symbol, and message of health and well being to all, rolled on in New York City led by AAPI Chief Dr Ravi Jahagirdar.
Besides Dr Ravi Jahagirdar, President, the AAPI team consisting of Dr Seema Jain, President-Elect, Dr Ami Shah, AAPI Regional Director for New York area, Dr Krishan Kumar, Board of Trustee member along with local stalwarts Dr Sanjay Jain, Dr Udita Jahagirdar and Dr Joseph Chalil participated in the Parade.
They had flown into New York from different parts of the country to be part of the largest India Day Parade around the world, organized by the Federation of Indian Associations (FIA).
