CHICAGO: The medical community enjoyed an evening of good cheer, delectable hors’ d’oeuvres, and soothing drinks at the Chicago Medical Society’s Annual Holiday Reception held on December 5.
Held at the elegant old-world Standard Club of Chicago, the event was a perfect way to thank all the hardworking physicians, administrators, attorneys, lawmakers, and friends of medicine who together comprise the local healthcare community. More than 200 people attended.
This festive Chicago Medical Society tradition also allows members and guests to relax and, for newcomers, it provides a friendly welcome to the Society. The diverse guest list ensures lively and informed conversation about issues related to healthcare in Illinois.
Founded in 1850, the Chicago Medical Society is one of the oldest and largest medical societies in the United States. In addition to improving public health locally, its programs educate physicians of all specialty areas while encouraging professional interaction and unity. The Society’s grassroots political advocacy benefits all 17,000 physicians in Cook County.
