DETROIT, MI: Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Detroit, Michigan visited the village of Milford, MI, on February 28. Imam Shamshad Nasir, the regional Imam of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, along with Mr Wasim, met with the Public Library’s head of adult services Ms. K. Boughey. Imam Nasir presented a copy of the Holy Quran, life of Muhammed, Islam response to the contemporary issues, meaning of Jihad and other literature about peace, as a gift from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
The Village of Milford is 2.5 square miles nestled in southwest Oakland County. It serves as the central business district for approximately 25,000 people in the surrounding areas.
Ms Karin Boughey thanked The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community for the gift of the Holy Quran and other books. She discussed opportunities to hold program where community members can come and join to ask questions about Islam and learn more about the religion.
On behalf of Ahmadiyya Muslim community, Imam Shamshad Nasir thanked the library director and the staff for their warm response and welcome.
Imam Shamshad said “Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is always ready to help, serve and to remove all kind of negativity and misunderstandings about Islam anytime and anywhere. I’m looking forward to seeing you again with better programs in future in your library”.
