CHICAGO: Huge number of Indian Americans of Chicagoland came out in a freezing temperature of -1 degree celsius in support of the Citizenship Amendment Act and hold a rally on 5 January 2020.
More than 300 members of Indian Diaspora came with colourful and meaningful placards, slogans, banners and flags of USA and India. Their message was loud and clear. They strongly supported and applauded PM Modi and Indian Parliament for this Humanitarian act to help the religiously persecuted minorities from 3 Islamic nations of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
Dr Barai who also organized the rally said that these destitute minorities who had to flee the religious persecution in these three Islamic countries are living as refugees in India for many years to save their freedom and honour of their daughters. Their children need to go to schools and colleges. This act will give them dignity, honour, economic and social opportunities along with religious freedom.
Where would they go? India has given shelter to these unfortunate human beings. It was noted that it did not take away anything from any Indian Citizens. He urged people to protest against the torture, abuse and atrocities committed against Hindus, Sikhs, Christians, Jains, Buddhists, Parsis in Pakistan. He referred to abduction, forcible conversion to Islam and being forcibly married away to Muslim boy of Sikh girl Ms JK in Pakistan and subsequent attack on Sikhs and their Holiest Shrine Gurdwara Nankana Sahib in Pakistan.
Instead of helping these Sikh families, PM Imran Khan posted a fake video to justify their atrocities of these Sikh families and their Holy Gurudwara. The Netizens quickly caught this “repeat offender” Imran Khan of posting counterfeit photos and videos.
The rally aimed to counter the misinformation, planned propaganda of hate and lies spread by Pakistan, some political parties and fake organizations. The rally indirectly exposed the genocide and Jihad being carried out in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. The rally diaspora signed a memorandum supporting CAA and thanking PM Modi and Indian Govt for their Humanitarian help to these religiously persecuted minorities. The memorandum was forwarded to Govt of India thru the Consul General of India in Chicago.
Other speakers who spoke on the issue were Amitabh Mittal, Nirav Patel, Hemant Patel, Amar Upadhyay, Rohit Joshi, Shailesh Rajput, VandanaJhingan, Kalpesh Desai, Devesh Pandit.
