MILWAUKEE: A group of Indian Americans in Chicagoland, supportive of the broad agenda of the Republican Party, attended an event in Milwaukee organized by the Republican America First Policies protagonists and graced by Vice President Mike Pence.
The event was held on Wednesday April 25 afternoon and seven Indian American community activists– Amar Upadhyay, Hemant Patel, Rohit Joshi, Rajababu Chigurpati, Prasad Yelamanchi, Anil Patel and Madhu Patel – attended the event. It was the first visit for VP Mike Pence to Wisconsin after September last. Wisconsin Governor Scott William faces the electorate and this was a fundraising event for him.
VP Pence came to participate in a public forum to tout the Republican tax overhaul. The tax discussion is organized by America First Policies, a group created to promote President Donald Trump’s policies. Pence has been traveling the country hosting similar events to promote the tax changes.President Donald Trump carried Wisconsin in the last elections for the President by one per cent.
