CHICAGO: A number of community oriented Indian businessmen, women and community leaders gathered at PowerVolt, Inc., Addison, last week to talk about their agenda regarding the formation of Republican Hindu Coalition (RHC) in the United States to represent all Indians living here collectively, in different areas of American politics
The aim is also to have input from Indian Americans when various business and trade decisions are made in Washington DC. Congressman Ed Royce, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, was welcomed warmly by them.
Shalabh Kumar, the leading businessman and Indian representative in the congress, introduced Royce to the group by highlighting his achievements in American politics and his very supportive and bold role in inviting our most loved Prime Minister of India, Modi Ji.
All other businessmen and women introduced themselves to Royce one by one as the Congressman showed keenness in knowing every one of them individually. A brief slide show presentation was given by Brij Sharma, the CEO of PowerVolt, Addison, about his business career journey in America that impressed all those present, including Ed Royce.
Royce was highly positive and supportive in his address. He welcomed the agenda for forming a Republican Hindu Coalition to represent their voice in American politics. He urged them to show their presence in American politics, business and trade on a united and collective basis rather than on individual basis. He requested everyone to spread the news vigorously among the Indian communities living in different states to come and join the coalition and mark its presence in a big way.
Participants of the evening took a tour of the PowerVolt factory and interacted with workers who demonstrated their skills in building electronic transformers. After a brief mixing and mingling, everyone enjoyed delicious dinner with soft mild sweet Ras-Malai and Carrot-Halwa. Mrs Vijay Sharma, the hostess of the evening, thanked everyone for attending the function and making it happen as expected.
