CHICAGO: Indians across USA have joined Pope Francis urging people to accept each other’s differences and recognize that “we belong to the same heavenly father and we share a common destiny.” Echoing the sentiment they maintain that “we are brothers and we should strive for world peace, liberty, love, happiness and justice during 2014.”
“Although from diverse faith traditions but from the same human family, we have one direction to go and that is replacing conflict with understanding and love. headed in the same direction. Despite our serious differences, we should respect others view points, display solidarity with purpose, work for each other’s well-being and be kinder,” the community activists Raja Zed ( President of Universal Society of Hinduism, Nevada) Sohan Joshi ( President National Federation of Indian Associations Chicago) Sudhir Vyas, a journalist in New York and Dr Ashok Jain of Michigan said.
“We pray that 2014 brings hope and trust, the people flourish and build a new just world; devoid of inequalities, poverty and prejudices.” Rajan Zed urged “Let us make a resolution to steadily improve our self, refuse to give up on our path to righteousness, make efforts to replace war and violence with reconciliation and dialogue, and bring positive change. We can do this.”
“This brings a responsibility for each to work so that the world becomes a community of brothers who respect each other, accept each other in one’s diversity, and take care of one another,” the Pope had said.
