The MANCA honored its founding member and first president, Mr. Papachan Kalathil, with a Lifetime Achievement award at an event held in Silicon Andhra University auditorium on Dec 10, 2023. The MANCA Golden Club, a new social platform for seniors, was introduced during the meeting led by President Mr. Sunil Varghese.
Mrs. Geeta George, MANCA trustee board chairman and Golden Club coordinator, conducted the welcome ceremony, and Dr. Japra served as the chief guest. Mr. Kalathil, recognized for decades of selfless service, shared his experiences during the ceremony, where MANCA’s 40th-anniversary plans and initiatives for the Malayalee community in Northern California were unveiled.
The event, attended by Golden Club members and the MANCA board, featured testimonials from coordinators Mrs. Prema Thekkek, Narayanan Pisharody, movie actor & director Mr. Thampy Antony and MANCA veteran Mrs.Kamal Nair.
MANCA Secretary Mr. PrinceNechikat and Board Of Director Sijo Parappallil shared more details about senior volunteering program that is being initiated by team MANCA to help the seniors.
MANCA was formed in 1984 and Kalarhil was a founding member and the first president of MANCA.
