FREMONT: Over the last few years, economic turmoil has had severe impact on education in California. Budget cuts have been causing havoc on affordability and availability of quality education to the young. Community colleges are no exception. It becomes critical for board leaders to plan and strategize better.
Current Trustee and Ohlone College Board member Teresa D. Cox is standing for re-election to the governing board of Ohlone College, Fremont. She has many firsts to her credit, including being a first woman nuclear engineer. She was also appointed as Trade Advisor to Obama Administration.
A grand gala was organized in honor of Teresa Cox at Bombay Garden, Newark. Many local dignitaries attended the gala to show their support.
