Prafull Lande & Sanjeev Sagar The Sant Nirankari Mission,a spiritual movement working towards universal brotherhood, participated in the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women, a world conference organized in New York from March 4 to 15. The Mission’s delegation included Dr Iqbaljit S. Rai, President of the Sant Nirankari Mission, USA, Mrs. Manjeet Rai, Mrs. Shashi Madhok, Mrs. Harlivleen Bajwa and Mr. Mohan Sabnani. In all, 193 countries were represented in the Conference through their non-government organizations, Government officials, dignitaries, ambassadors and students.
The common theme of the Conference was how to raise the core values of humanity to love and respect each other irrespective of culture, caste, gender, age and nationality. It was discussed both in open sessions as well as panels.
The Sant Nirankari Mission, a faith based organization, is flourishing worldwide. It is actively involved in changing the attitude and behavior of human beings. It brings people together irrespective of age, culture, caste, religion, gender and nationality. It focuses on the core values of humanity – the love, respect, non-violence, equality and is thus transforming the individuals, and families.
