Shraddhānjali & Rasam Pagri program was organized by the Jhingan family in the memory of Late Shri. Surinder Bhushan Jhingan in the auditorium, of Hanuman Mandir of Greater Chicago, Glenview, a Chicago suburb, on Sunday, December 11, 2022 evening.
Around 200 people from different parts of the world along with family members of Jhingan and admirers gathered in -person and through zoom to pay tribute to him at his ishtadevata’s abode and a favorite temple of Greater Chicago with their ample respect and sweet memories.
The program started with the offering of flowers to the portrait of Shri. Surinder Bhushan Jhinganand lighting of a lamp by Pandit Anil Joshi Ji, the head priest, Hindu Mandir of Lake County, IL.
Shri. Surinder Bhushan Jhingan’s wife Chanchal Jhingan and other members of the family paid floral tributes to his portrait. Pt. Joshi Ji in his homage message stated that 95-year-old SurinderJhingan Ji migrated from Bahawalpur, Pakistan in 1947 to India after its partition. His family started their life with meager resources and became successful in life with many struggles and challenges, and taught the same values to his offerings, and relatives, and influenced many others with his good values, spirituality, and strict principles. Joshi Ji highlighted his qualities by quoting shlokas from Ramayana and Bhagavad.
Dr. Dwivedi sang some shlokas and paid his tributes and blessed his soul to rest in peace. Temple representatives along with many community members were present and paid tributes. Rasam Pagri was performed by Pt. Anil Joshi Ji, Yogesh Pandey, and Pt. Krishna Sulakhe.
Sanjay Jhingan, Ashish Jhingan, and Vandana Jhingan thanked everyone for attending the program and paying tribute to their adored father.
Rama Kapoor, Abee Verma, and Indrani Joshi sang beautiful bhajans, which were also favorite Bhajans of Shri. Surinder Bhushan Jhingan.
