Also at Gandhi Center arrangements were for ”matki phod” (breaking the earthen pot) function where youths climb atop each other to form a pyramid to reach the ”dahi handi” filled with traditional curd that was favorite of Lord Krishna by children.
At midnight Lord Krishna was placed in the cradle. Close to midnight, the celebrations came to a grand finale with dancing, drum beats, singing and chanting. An ‘aarti’ wrapped up the event.
