ST LOUIS: The Indian Association of St Louis (IAS) collaborated with Mehlville High School for their Global Coffee House International Fair celebrations on March 15, spreading cultural awareness about India
The event celebrated different nationalities and ethnic groups within the community and included live performances and booths to commemorate cultural diversity. Twenty six countries were represented this year. A Tarana Kathak dance tuned to Raag Malkaunse by IAS members Amoolya Pandurangi and Ankita Pandurangi gave a glimpse of the beauty of Indian music and dance to the audience.
IAS President Shailee Saran Varanasi outlined this as one of the steps for outreach by the organization to spread awareness and interest in Indian culture. The performance was very well appreciated and applauded by the attendees.
