XFINITY Voice Unlimited allows customers to place unlimited calls from home or on the go to mobile and landline phones in India, China, Singapore, South Korea and other regions outside the United States. Bay Area residents had an opportunity to surprise loved ones in India with a special phone call to those abroad through XFINITY Voice Unlimited service booth which was set up in Bharat Bazar, Fremont from February 29 to March 3 and Great Mall Milpitas from March 4 to March 6.
The event was free to the public and all ages were welcome to attend and call their loved ones Worldwide. Participants were encouraged to use #CountMemories when sharing their experience on social media and they gave a free movie ticket for trying out the service.
Today, Americans spend billions of dollars on cell phone charges related to international calling and millions more on worldwide calling cards. Data from the Federal Communications Commission shows that many of these calls go to India, Mexico, and Canada. Comcast’s Xfinity Voice unlimited expanded plan will help our community keep in touch and connected without spending on calling cards or incurring wireless charges.
The activation follows on the heels of XFINITY “Count Memories, Not Minutes” launch, a campaign that reminds customers to cherish and relive their special moments with family by using XFINITY Voice Unlimited international calling feature. With special holidays like Holi approaching, customers should be focused on treasuring their connection with family, and not being sidetracked with how much each minute costs them, said Lata Johnson, Sales person, Comcast.
Comcast has more than 11 million phone customers, and nearly all of its residential phone customers subscribe to the Xfinity Voice Unlimited plan. Xfinity Voice Unlimited also includes features like caller ID across multiple devices, three-way calling, and call waiting. With the Xfinity Connect app, people can use up to four virtual phone numbers to make and receive calls and texts for free from a smartphone, tablet, or device connected to Wi-Fi.
This feature helps save money on wireless bills and on international charges when traveling abroad. Customers can also check email, read or listen to home voicemail, and access contacts through the app.
