For employees at US Bank, an important part of being a trusted financial partner is celebrating important cultural touchstones like Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights, alongside our employees, customers and communities.

It’s an amazing opportunity to show our commitment to the diverse communities where we live, work and play.”
US Bank’s integrated marketing campaign for Diwali was launched in Chicago, Irvine, Minneapolis and San Francisco October 7. Plus, the company joins customers and communities in celebrating Diwali at events across the country:
In Chicago, DesiTalk and US Bank presented the fourth annual DesiTalk Diwali Mela. at Shalimar Banquet Hall October 13. Guests enjoyed Bollywood dancing, vendor bazaars, cultural activities and food booths. The event brought the community together by providing a platform to young talent, showcasing small/home businesses, and connecting elected officials with the community.
In southern California, US Bank celebrated Diwali fest in the City of Irvine with the Ektaa Center. This evening event with the Ektaa Center invites the community to explore Indian culture through food, access to products and services, and artistic and cultural performances. Through festivals and events like Diwali, the Ektaa Center and US Bank help Indian-Americans stay connected to their Indian roots and introduce US-born generations to these important festivals.
In Minneapolis, US Bank sponsors “Pratibha: A Symphony of Talent”. At this indoor event hosted by the Hindu Society of Minnesota, guests sit down to dinner while enjoying live entertainment including Bollywood style dancing and music.
In San Francisco, US Bank sponsors the Diwali Mela dance competition at FOG Diwali Mela. In addition to the dance competition, the FOG Diwali Mela includes a music concert, kids’ bonanza clown show, food festival, shopping booths and wellness expo featuring yoga, homeopathy and siddha. Bollywood singer Shilpi Paul performed at the event.
Throughout the year, US Bank partners nationally with Ascend, a non profit that reaches more than 60,000 people with robust professional development and career enhancement programs designed to cultivate Pan-Asian talent. And, through four chapters of US. Bank’s Asian Heritage Business Resource Group, thousands of employees create and attend events that are culturally relevant to the Asian Indian community and help all employees learn more about Asian Indian customers and culture.
