CHICAGO: The Uttarakhand Samaj of Greater Chicago (USOGC) recently held its annual executive board meeting, where the outgoing President Chandan Singh Khati was given farewell and the new executive board got elected for 2023–24.
The elected office bearers are:
- President: Smita Pant
- Vice President: Vikram Singh Negi
- Treasurer: Rashmi Joshi Mohan
- Secretary: Rahul Sharma
- Joint Secretary: Mohan Rawat
After organizing a very successful Holi celebration, the next in line is the USOGC Summer Picnic that will be held on June 18 2023 at Busse Woods, Elk Grove Village, a Chicago suburb. The much-awaited Uttarakhand Diwali celebration will be held with full pomp and show in the month of November 2023
Supporting charity programs in Uttarakhand has always been one of the main objectives of USOGC. Helping small and local organizations that are doing remarkable work in remote areas of Uttarakhand.
USOGC has completed eight years since its inception in 2015, keeping alive the rich tradition and customs of Uttarakhand in America. A lot has been done, and a lot more needs to be done in the years to come.
With this motto and commitment, USOGC is moving forward, showcasing the cultural diversity of India in the most diversified country in the world.
